CIEH Level 1 Award in Health and Safety


Overview

Employers have a legal responsibility to provide health and safety training for their employees.

The CIEH Level 1 Award in Health and Safety in the Workplace provides a starting point from which more detailed health and safety training or job specific training can follow.

Learning Outcomes

Understand the importance of health and safety in your workplace
Identify the hazards and risks associated with the workplace
Understand workplace health and safety procedures


Participants' level of understanding is assessed by a multiple-choice examination.

Who should attend

Everyone entering the workplace for the first time, either as part of a work experience programme or at the start of employment.

Also as part of their induction programme for those who are starting a new job.

Duration

Half a Day.

Preparation

No course preparation is required.
