CIEH Level 2 Award in Principles of COSHH

Overview

This qualification compliments the CIEH Level 2 Award in Health and Safety in the Workplace by introducing candidates to the inherent risks in substances and the controls available.

It prepares employees to contribute to the safer use of hazardous substances in cooperation with their managers and supervisors.

Identify the hazards associated with substances.
Identify the risks and controls available to deal with hazardous substances.
Identify what to expect from a COSHH assessment.
Participants' level of understanding is assessed by a multiple-choice examination.


Who should attend

Designed for those responsible for the Control of Substances Hazardous to Health (COSHH) at work.

It is also suitable for employees who use hazardous substances in manufacturing, cleaning, healthcare, transport, utilities and offices.

Duration

Half a Day.

Preparation

Delegates should have attended CIEH Level 2 Award in Health and safety in the Workplace or equivalent training.
