CIEH Level 2 Award in Principles of Risk Assessment

Overview

This course helps to improve the workplace culture for occupational health and safety by enabling those who attend to understand the basic principles of risk assessment.

Although not all employees are expected to undertake risk assessments, they may be required to contribute to the process. They are also expected at all times to act to protect their own health and safety and that of others.

Learning Outcomes

Ability to contribute to the maintenance of a safe working environment and to the process of formal risk assessment.
Understand the legal requirement for risk assessments.
Understand the principles of risk assessment.
Participants' level of understanding is assessed by a multiple-choice examination.

Preparation

It is recommended that delegates should have attended the "CIEH Level 2 Award in Health and Safety in the Workplace" or equivalent training.
