Emergency First Aid at Work

Overview

The Health and Safety (First Aid) Regulations require an employer to provide adequate first aid cover in the workplace.

This course is suitable for organisations where risk assessment indicates a lower risk work environment. It is aimed at:

Anyone needing a basic knowledge of first aid
Employees acting as their organisation's appointed person
Staff assisting a qualified first aider
Businesses with a working environment that is deemed to be low risk.


Objectives

By the end of the session delegates will have:

Basic life saving first aid skills
Knowledge of workplace health and safety regulations


Who should attend

Nominated first aiders in low risk environments or anyone wanting to learn basic first aid.

Duration

This is a one day session.

Materials

Each delegate receives a manual containing course information and reference material.

Assessment and Certification

Continuous assessment by the trainer leading to a certificate for successful candidates.
