Management of Asbestos

Overview

The course is aimed primarily at those who have a managerial or supervisory role over premises or work on premises that potentially incorporate Asbestos Containing Materials (ACMs).

It is a practical course that is particularly appropriate for delegates who have not had previous experience in the Asbestos Industry.

Objectives

By the end of the course, delegates will be able to:

Ensure appropriate procedures and records are in place to adequately manage the risks associated with work on Asbestos Containing Materials (ACMs) on premises for which they are responsible.
Understand the limitations and implications of Type I and Type II Asbestos Surveys
Arrange for appropriate risk assessments to be carried out prior to work commencing in properties that potentially incorporate ACMs.
Ensure correct procedures are followed for disposal of asbestos containing waste materials
