Overview
Under the Manual Handling Operations Regulations, employers are required to assess manual handling tasks which cannot be avoided, and reduce the risk of injury to the lowest reasonably practicable level.
The Regulations also require that suitable and sufficient training be provided to those employees who carry out such tasks to enable them to do so in a safe manner.
This course is designed to provide a basic foundation for assisting those individuals responsible for delivering training in accordance with the Manual Handling Regulations - to deliver a course based on the Health and Safety Executive's Six Basic Principles for Safe Lifting.

Persons who have been selected for the role of trainer in safe lifting.
Duration
This is a three day course, which involves individual delegates making presentations in front of other delegates, development and delivery of practical safe lifting instruction to others and written examinations.

Each delegate receives a comprehensive manual and presentation materials.
