Overview

The Health and Safety at Work Act and the Management of Health and Safety at Work Regulations require employers to have in place suitable arrangements for managing health and safety in their organisations.

This course covers the essential knowledge that senior managers need to discharge this responsibility.

The course provides necessary guidance on UK and European Health and Safety legislation to:

Understand the broad outline of relevant Health and Safety legislation.
Understand Senior Management responsibilities for effectively managing Health and Safety.
Assist in the underpinning knowledge of persons with health and safety responsibilities.

This course is suitable for persons in either of the following roles:

Persons responsible for Health and Safety policies and procedures.
Facilities Managers responsible for day-to-day Health and Safety within their organisations.

Duration

The normal course duration is a full day. However, depending on local requirements, the course can be tailored for a shorter duration.
