Q. How can I book on a training course?
A. You can contact us by phone on 01744 766000 to discuss your needs for anything from a single place on a public course to a full training needs analysis.

Alternatively, you can use our Course Enquiry Form to leave your contact details and we will get back to you to discuss your requirements.

Q. Can a course be customised for my organisation's specific requirements?
A. In most cases, the answer is “Yes”, though there may be some constraints on courses that are accredited by external organisations such as IOSH.

Customisation is typically cost-effective when your organisation has enough students to fill a course.

Q. Who are the trainers?
A. All our trainers are qualified specialists in their field. They are Health and Safety or Environment practitioners themselves with experience in a wide range of sectors, from which they are able to illustrate how the course material applies in practical situations.

Q. How many people attend each course?
A. The maximum number of delegates we accept on a course varies according to the subject matter. In general, however, we prefer an upper limit of 12, which helps to encourage interaction.

Q. Do attendees receive a Certificate?
A. Every delegate on an EDP course receives a Course Attendance Certificate, which is evidence, should you be required to produce it, that you have received the training and may also be beneficial for CPD schemes.

In addition, delegates attending IOSH accredited courses receive an IOSH certificate if they achieve an acceptable grade in the course assessment.

Q. Is there a particular dress code?
A. There is no required dress code. However, we aim for an enjoyable, relaxed atmosphere and most people feel most comfortable in smart casual clothes.

Q. Do I need to bring anything to the course?
A. In general, when you attend a course, everything is provided for your training. In a few cases, you may be asked to bring something along with you that can be used to help you apply the training to your particular circumstances. When this is a requirement, however, it will be made clear in the pre-course instructions.

Q. Who are EDP anyway? Why should we trust you with our training requirements?
A. You can read the EDP Corporate Overview about the history and growth of the company (requires Adobe Acrobat Reader) or you can view some of our Case Studies.

In addition you can read our commitment to you by way of a Guarantee and if you
grant us a few minutes of your time we will explain to you what we can do.

Q. How can I keep updated with the latest Health and Safety news?
A. You can sign up for the EDP Newsletter
