The course covers the following topics:
New Health and Safety Regulations aimed at all aspects of Construction were introduced in April 2007.
The Construction (Design and Management) Regulations 2007 served to consolidate existing legislation and shift the focus in the direction of planning and management of construction projects.
The result is that Clients, Designers, CDM-Co-ordinators, Principal Contractors and Contractors are all subject to changed responsibilities.
Regardless of your role in a project, it is essential that you should understand your own responsibilities and be aware of the responsibilities of others.
The aim of the Awareness course is to provide an introduction to the new and changed duties under CDM2007.

It should be emphasised that the Awareness course provides an Introduction only and is not sufficient in itself to ensure you are able to comply with the new legislation.
Anyone with an interest in Construction projects, though the course is particularly targeted at Clients, Designers and Contractors.
The course typically requires 2 to 3 Hours, with some variation depending on the length of the question time at the end of the course.
No preparation is required, though delegates may find it advantageous to download and print off copies of the new Regulations and the Industry Guidance Notes for the roles in which they are interested, available at:
