Overview
The course is aimed primarily at those who have a managerial or supervisory role over premises or work on premises that potentially incorporate Asbestos Containing Materials (ACMs).
It is a practical course that is particularly appropriate for delegates who have not had previous experience in the Asbestos Industry.
Objectives
By the end of the course, delegates will be able to:
- Ensure appropriate procedures and records are in place to adequately manage the risks associated with work on Asbestos Containing Materials (ACMs) on premises for which they are responsible.
- Understand the limitations and implications of Type I and Type II Asbestos Surveys
- Arrange for appropriate risk assessments to be carried out prior to work commencing in properties that potentially incorporate ACMs
- Ensure correct procedures are followed for disposal of asbestos containing waste materials
