  • Safe kinetic lifting techniques

Overview

Under the Manual Handling Operations Regulations, employers are required to provide suitable and sufficient training to employees who carry out manual handling tasks so they are able to carry out their duties in a safe manner.

This course covers the essential knowledge that is needed by employees whose duties involve manual handling operations.

Objectives

This course is designed to raise awareness of correct lifting techniques for persons who carry out manual handling activities at work.

By the end of the course delegates will be able to:

  • Understand the basic workings of the spine and joints and possible causes of injury.
  • Understand and be able to apply the principles of safe lifting and carrying.
