Overview

As the cost of waste disposal increases and the environmental impact of waste is more readily recognised, more and more organisations are looking to manage wastes in a more effective way.

This course provides delegates with a sound introduction to waste management practices and forms a foundation upon which to build a waste minimisation programme.

Please note that this course is ideal for delivery 'in-house' for your organisation’s waste management personnel.

By the end of the course, delegates will:

• Understand the environmental and business costs associated with waste production
• Understand the main legislative controls governing the management of wastes within business
• Appreciate the principles of the waste management hierarchy
• Understand how to implement a waste management and minimisation strategy within their businesses
