Exciting opportunities have arisen within one of EDP’s clients to be part of the client’s global security team. The client is a social media/technology business with operations throughout the world. The roles available are located in London, Dublin and Singapore and the successful candidates will play key roles in the rollout of the company’s global security systems. The successful candidates will be employed by EDP but will work in an ‘embedded’ role within the client.


LEVEL 1 SECURITY SYSTEMS ADMINISTRATOR

1 Position in London (Job ref:0066)
1 Position in Singapore (Job ref:0067)

ROLE STATEMENT:

The role sits within the EDP Global Security Team, as part of a service to a leading social media/technology business with operations throughout the world. Successful candidates will play key roles in the rollout of the company’s global security systems. Role holders will be employed by EDP but will work in an ‘embedded’ role within the client.

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Programming of the client’s Global Security Systems & Technology Systems (Access Control, Video Management, Cameras, Intercoms, Key Management, etc.) which will coincide with an aggressive build schedule.
  • Provide support and technical training on hardware and software to end users
  • Some project management of Integrator/LSP resources in the field coordinating testing and commissioning of projects
  • System Support to the Integrators/LSPs in the field
  • Troubleshooting the client’s Security technologies (Access Control, Video Management systems Mac, Intercoms, key management, etc.)
  • Some limited PC/MAC support on and Windows software and hardware for end users via phone, email will be required occasionally
  • Enforce/follow documented installation standards and New Builds processes such as DHCP reservations, MAC
  • White listing, Load Sheets and other New builds documentation as well as any other Security Specific techniques
  • Assists in basic network troubleshooting as it relates to GSST technologies. Network certifications not a requirement but general network knowledge a plus.
  • Comprehensive knowledge of Windows.
  • 1 - 2 years of experience with Access Control, Video Management, Cameras, Intercoms, Key Management, Network Troubleshooting, PC/MAC Support, or Programming of GSST Systems

REMUNERATION

EMBEDDED SERVICE TECHNICIAN

Role Statement:

The role sits within the EDP Global Security Team, as part of a service to a leading social media/technology business with operations throughout the world. Successful candidates will play key roles in the rollout of the company’s global security systems. Role holders will be employed by EDP but will work in an ‘embedded’ role within the client.

Key Responsibilities

Providing embedded field service support for Access Control, CCTV Systems, and other physical security technologies to include the following but not limited to:

  • The ability to learn subject matter quickly and immediately apply knowledge to implement a responsible plan or decision.
  • The ability to prioritize Client tasks as assigned by Help desk or Others,
  • The ability to work designated shifts, and designated times
  • Consistently high level of customer service and professional demeanour
  • Familiar with troubleshooting & supporting perimeter and physical security concepts, access control and video management systems as well as other physical security technologies.
  • Hands-on troubleshooting physical security hardware, network cabling, etc. including the use of hand tools and test equipment needed to perform these duties.
  • Understands the standards and practices that go into an Intermediate Distribution Frame or Equipment room.
  • Highly detail oriented when documenting and executing system changes.

Role Requirements:

Embedded service technician must be proficient with the following systems:

  • Access Control: Software House CCure 9000
  • Video Management Systems: Genetec
  • Physical Security Hardware: Access Control Panels; IP Cameras; Sensors; Electric Locks

Experience and Qualifications:

The ideal candidate will possess:

Desired Experience/Education

  • 2-3 years of experience servicing physical security technologies & industry field work
  • Basic knowledge of Project Management & Team Leadership skill sets a plus
  • Technical background and training and/or equivalent security industry experience
  • Has a passion to learn and curiosity for how things function
Desired Qualifications/Certifications
  • Access Control Systems: Software House CCure 9000(must have or received Certification within 90 days of hire)
  • Video Management Systems: Genetec (must have or received Certification within 90 days of hire); Exact Vision
  • Physical Security Hardware: Access Control Panels; IP Cameras; Sensors; Locks
  • Life Safety, Fire Detection & Suppression Systems a plus
  • General Low-Voltage (sound, and data) a plus
