Work at Height Awareness

Overview

Work at height is defined as working at a place from which a person could be injured by falling from it, regardless of whether it is above, at or below ground level.

This course, which incorporates guidance issued by the Health & Safety Executive, gives delegates a clear understanding of what is required to comply with the Work at Height Regulations.

Objectives

By the end of the course delegates will:

Understand the full scope of the Work at Height Regulations.
Appreciate the nature of the risks and how they should be managed.
Be aware of the types of equipment that can be used to safeguard those who work at height.
Have an awareness of what is required to comply with the Work at Height Regulations.
Understand their own duties under the regulations.


Who should attend

This course is designed for those whose jobs involve working at height and those who supervise or manage such work. It includes employers, employees, managers and self employed persons.

Duration

This is a 4 hour session.

Preparation

No specific course preparation is required. However, an awareness of your company's current Work at Height policy would be an advantage.

Materials

Delegates receive a manual containing course information and handouts.
