A really positive result for the EDP safety and risk division, working in collaboration with RSK Group sister company and our client FR Consultants.  Confirmation has been received that the Building Control Application for the external façade remediation to an existing Higher-Risk Building (HRB) has been approved in less than 16 weeks. With the application validated within 4 weeks, it is evident that following a collaborative approach between EDP, FRC and the Principal Contractor, a robust, valid, and accurate Gateway 2 submission was made on behalf of the client. Due to this collaboration the Principal Contractor can now proceed into the construction phase without any further delay or additional costs.

Furthermore it is reassuring to know that the approach we have taken, was well received by the Building Safety Regulator, who have advised that we continue to adopt this approach with future projects with some positive feedback received: “There was the right amount of information without it being too much and the regulations had clearly been followed so the information was relevant.”

A representative from the leaseholders provided kind feedback, saying ‘This is a huge relief and we compliment FRC on behalf of all leaseholders for your dedication and expertise in completing the necessary information requested by BSR.”
