Exemplary principal designers providing construction design and management advice

Extensive legislation and regulations accompany construction work. A Principal Designer (PD) has two very separate roles, one is concerned with ensuring legal compliance with the Construction (Design and Management) Regulations 2015 (CDM 2015). The other, compliance with the Building Safety Act 2022 (BSA 2022) and Building Regulations 2010 (as amended 2023) and the Higher-Risk Buildings Regulations 2023 (BR 2010/2023). Construction Design and Management Advisors (CDMA) support and advise clients on compliance with CDM 2015.
