Technical Coordinator - Ref OT88

EDP has an opportunity for an enthusiastic and conscientious person to join our growing operational teams and support the development and growth of the business in both in the UK and internationally over the next 5 years.  This is a permanent position, offering exceptional opportunities for career development and progression.

We’re looking for a Technical Coordinator to support our operational teams in service delivery and contribute to the development and running of our business infrastructure and processes. 

The ideal candidate will be comfortable with IT, be flexible & willing to learn and be able to manage a range of tasks and priorities.

This role has been created at a key time for EDP as we embark on a 5-year business plan to grow the business across a range of geographies (UK & International), product and service offerings underpinned by substantial investment in people, systems and infrastructure. 

This role provides an opportunity for someone to develop a range of skills and experience as they build a career within a growing organisation.

The role will be based from our Livingston office.

Main Duties and Responsibilities

The successful candidate will initially be involved in assisting our site and operational support teams in a number of key areas including:

  • Producing and updating building and site plans using CAD software.
  • Assisting the Quality Manager with day to day management of the Quality Management System.
  • Management, servicing and calibration of site equipment and equipment record keeping.
  • Support and administer internal reporting, Quality Control and training records.
  • Providing other support and assistance to service delivery teams as required.

Essential Skills and Experience

  • Good general computer literacy
  • Proficiency and experience of Microsoft Office Suite Software
  • Good communication (verbal and written) skills

Previous experience is not essential as full training and support will be provided, but candidates must be computer literate with an organised outlook, show a willingness to learn, work with minimal supervision once trained and be committed to improve themselves and the systems they work with.

Desirable Skills and Experience

  • Relevant (IT, Engineering, Science. Business Management) A-Levels and/or degree qualifications
  • Experience of Computer Aided Design (CAD) software packages (AutoCAD, Visio etc.)
  • Previous relevant work experience in an administrative or technical role.

Salary And Benefits

  • Salary for the role is in the range of £14,000 - £18,500 p.a. depending on levels of experience and qualifications.

HR Manager - Ref OT87

EDP has an opportunity for a dynamic and motivated HR Manager to join an ambitious management team to play a significant role in shaping and enabling the growth of the business in both in the UK and internationally over the next 5 years.

We’re looking for a HR Manager with experience of managing change and developing HR infrastructure and practice in a growing business. 

The ideal candidate will have experience of a range of HR related disciplines including recruitment, training & development, performance management, reward and recognition and TUPE; be willing to work at all levels across the business as we grow and possess a flexible approach to the role.

This role has been created at a key time for EDP as we embark on a 5-year business plan to grow the business across a range of geographies (UK & International), product and service offerings underpinned by substantial investment in people, systems and infrastructure. 

The purpose of the role is to establish and lead an effective HR management function to support this growth, establish strong HR processes, procedures and systems and build capacity and capability in technical, management and leadership teams across the business.

In addition, this role provides an opportunity for someone with strong management and leadership experience to join and participate in the development of the senior leadership team representing sales, operations, service delivery, HR, quality management and business systems.

The role will be based from one of our UK offices (St Helens, Wetherby, Stafford, London or Livingston) and has the potential to be home based depending on location of the role holder.

Essential Skills and Experience

  • A qualified HR professional with evidenced continual professional development.
  • Strong understanding of UK HR legislation and best practice.

  • Salary for the role is in the range of £37,500 - £45,000 p.a. depending on levels of experience and qualifications.

Business Development Manager - Ref OT86

In line with our Strategic Growth Plan EDP are looking for a skilled and ambitious Business Development Manager to join our growing sales team and play a key role in the growth of our business. We are looking for an individual who is self-motivated, energetic and driven, and has great communication skills both written and verbal. You will need strong appointment making skills as this is a true ‘new business development’ role and demonstrable evidence of delivering results through structured consultative sales techniques. Strong IT skills, word/excel/powerpoint/crm systems are important, together with strong time-management and planning skills.

  • To develop sufficient appointments and sales to ensure that quarterly/annual new business sales targets are exceeded.
  • To work in collaboration with Regional Manager/operational colleagues to ensure that clients’ expectations are exceeded in terms of service provision.

Hours & Pattern Of Work:

  • We have 4 UK offices in London, Stafford, St Helens and Livingston, and the candidate can operate from any of these or be home based.
